Activity Stream

Dashboard > Top Menu

The Activity Stream functionality is an audit trail of all user activity in R+. This tool provides users the visibility to see what actions were conducted within the R+ instance, who performed said actions, and when the actions were executed. The stream also indicates if there are any background jobs running and allows users to view a list of all background jobs.

The activity stream can be found at the top right corner of R+ from any screen:

Whenever the Activity Stream icon displays an orange border, new activities have been recorded within R+.

Activity Stream Log

To view the activity stream log, click on the activity stream icon and select "View System Activity".

Once selected, a pop-up will appear with the stream of all jobs and user activities in R+.

Field Descriptions

  • Description - gives full details regarding the transaction or activities that have been performed in R+.

  • Actor Name - records which R+ user conducted specific activities.

    • “System” will display as the “Actor Name” for background system transactions.

  • Date - provides details to when certain activities were conducted.

Description Dropdown/Carrot

Certain actions within the “Description” column allow for additional details to be found within a drop down. Clicking on the drop down within the description will display more specific details into what exact activity/transaction was performed.

Filtering

All columns in the stream are filterable. This is useful should specific actions or user activities need to be reviewed.

Automatic Refresh

When enabled, this setting will automatically refresh the activity stream with real time information on each activity that is performed within R+. Disabling this parameter will prevent the activity stream from displaying an up-to-date activity log.

Background Processes

The Activity Stream icon also tracks background jobs. Under Background Processes in the icon dropdown you can see what, if any, background processes are currently running within R+.

You will see a “No active background processes” message when no background processes are currently running.
