RCCP Settings

Before running RCCP, double check your APM settings, as APM results will affect RCCP. This tab within the APM settings provides access to the various RCCP settings.

RCCP Run Adjustments

Automatically Keep Rough Cut Planning up to date: If set to “On", the RCCP process will rerun any time there is a change in the APM results, or when updated resource and/or routing files are imported. If “Off” is selected, the user can trigger the RCCP to run by selecting the “Save then Run” button at the bottom of the panel.

Starting Date: This determines the start date of rough cut capacity plan.

Resource Hours per Working Day: This is where users set the default value for Resource Hours in a working day. This value is only used if there is no value in the capacity field of the resource file, the RCCP module will use the default value.

If 24 hours is the default, then the calendar will be from midnight to midnight. If 8 hours is used, then it is assumed that the start time is 8 am and end time is 4 pm.

Resource Load Threshold: These thresholds are used to set status of loading for a given week. In the example above if the load is between 80% and 100% then is the status is Medium, between 101 and 120 % it is High and anything above 121% is Critical. The settings for thresholds can be adjusted based on client preference.

Summary Load Threshold: The summary load threshold shows the average status for those items included in the view. Resources can be organized and filtered by category to review the average load for all resources within the category.

For example, similar resources like welding machines, CNC machines, Lathes etc. can be grouped in one category and then filtered using the “Resource Category” filter in the custom filter tray on the left side of the APM window. Resource Category is specified in a field in the resource file.
