Part Exception

Currently, if a select location or a vendor is not available, whether it be for a holiday, plant closure, or other planned activity on certain days, this can be identified and set in R+ using the Location or Vendor Calendar to capture those dates.

There are also situations where the part might be unavailable for a given period. This is when you may wish to use the Part Exception Calendar.

Part Calendar Exceptions can be added under the “Part” Tab under the calendar submenu, which can be accessed from the Menu.

To add a PCE (Part Calendar Exception), click the “Add Exception” Button in the upper right corner.

In the pop-up you should give this exception a name, define which location this applies at, and the start and end date. Part Calendar exceptions can also be imported via CSV.

To add a PCE to a part, you should open the part record via the Workbench or in the part editor. Scroll down to the Part Properties section, and there you will see a dropdown where you can apply a PCE for that location to that part. After saving, this will be reflected both in the part properties and in the workbench columns.

PCE and EDU

When dealing with existing location and vendor calendars, the PCE is only subtracting already working days from a schedule.

PCE and Dates

All of a part’s Part Calendar exceptions are factored into the part’s ELT (FLT, GRT, Planning Calendar Receipt Date), as well as any future supply order dates. No supply order will be generated during the PCE dates.
