Forecast
•Finished Goods forecast created by MFG Finance Analyst is fed into SAP to drive requirements through the BoM’s •Unconsumed forecast from prior month rolled into current month
•Forecast will be used for S&OP Planning and may be used in sizing buffers (FDU items), but will not drive replenishment
Work Orders
•Automatically generated by MRP •Converted to firm orders at the planning time fence •Released by planners when ready to run on the line •May be released short of components
•Work orders will be created through R+ according to the net flow equation and the ToG of each part. •Converted to firm orders at the planning time fence •Released by planners when ready to run on the line •May be released short of components. Not recommended
MRP
•Driven by manufacturing leader build plan in SAP, it generates work orders to satisfy the demands
•MRP will run in R+ and only generate orders down to any non-buffered items and would stop at any buffered parts. Based on the Net Flow of the buffered parts and order may/may not be recommended. •MRP in SAP will be irrelevant for X0 items.
Capacity Load
•Level load production plan at the beginning of the month •Production plan is divided by the number of days in the month to track performance
•RCCP will run every month to track capacity load. •Adjustment factors could be used to address missing capacity.
